Brooklyn Car Service to JFK, LaGuardia and Newark
Brooklyn Car Service to JFK, LaGuardia and Newark
A Brooklyn car service to JFK can take 30 minutes or close to two hours, and the hour you leave matters more than your address. At 5am the Belt Parkway is empty. At 5pm it crawls. We set your pickup from the flight time, then send a car that's early.
Gotham Ride drives from Williamsburg, Brooklyn Heights, DUMBO, Park Slope, Bay Ridge and the rest of the borough to JFK, LaGuardia and Newark, and back home after you land. Every quote is all-inclusive, with tolls and the chauffeur's gratuity built in. Child seats are free. Once you accept the price, it doesn't move.

Car service from Brooklyn to JFK, LaGuardia and Newark
Brooklyn sits between all three New York airports, so the closest one depends on your block.
Brooklyn to JFK
30 min to 1 hr 45 · quote on request
JFK is in Queens, just past Brooklyn's eastern edge. Most trips run east on the Belt Parkway along the water. From north Brooklyn the car may take the BQE and the Jackie Robinson Parkway instead. Dispatch picks the road on the day.
Brooklyn to LaGuardia
15 min to 1 hr 45 · quote on request
From Williamsburg and Greenpoint, LaGuardia is the closest airport, often 15 to 25 minutes outside rush hour. The BQE runs north over the Kosciuszko Bridge into Queens. From Bay Ridge it's the longest of the three trips.
Brooklyn to Newark
25 min to 1 hr 20 · quote on request
Newark is in New Jersey, but from Brooklyn Heights, DUMBO and Bay Ridge it's often quicker than JFK. The car goes through the Hugh L. Carey Tunnel and the Holland Tunnel, or over the Verrazzano and across Staten Island. United's hub is Terminal C.
How long the drive takes from Brooklyn
Off-peak means nights, weekends and the middle of the day. Rush hour means weekday mornings from 7 to 10 and afternoons from 3 to 7, and the evening rush is the slow one.
| From | JFK, off-peak | JFK, rush hour | LaGuardia, off-peak | LaGuardia, rush hour | Newark, off-peak | Newark, rush hour |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Williamsburg | 35 to 50 min | 60 to 85 min | 15 to 25 min | 30 to 45 min | 35 to 55 min | 55 to 80 min |
| Brooklyn Heights / DUMBO | 40 to 60 min | 70 to 105 min | 20 to 35 min | 45 to 75 min | 30 to 45 min | 50 to 75 min |
| Park Slope | 45 to 55 min | 60 to 95 min | 30 to 45 min | 60 to 95 min | 35 to 45 min | 55 to 75 min |
| Bay Ridge | 30 to 40 min | 55 to 80 min | 35 to 50 min | 75 to 105 min | 25 to 35 min | 45 to 65 min |
Google traffic estimates for a normal weekday, checked October 2026 and rounded to 5 minutes. The rush hour range runs from a typical evening to a bad one.
The fastest airport changes with the neighborhood: LaGuardia from Williamsburg, Newark from Bay Ridge and Park Slope. An evening departure can double the JFK drive. Early morning pickups usually beat the rush, so the off-peak column applies. A flight between 6 and 9pm puts the pickup right in the slow window.
Brooklyn car service, neighborhood by neighborhood
Williamsburg and Greenpoint
The quickest Brooklyn run to LaGuardia, straight up the BQE. JFK takes 35 to 50 minutes off-peak and 60 to 85 at the evening rush.
The J train reaches the AirTrain at Sutphin Boulevard, but with bags it's a long ride and a transfer.
Brooklyn Heights, DUMBO and Downtown Brooklyn
Right on the BQE and a few minutes from the tunnel to Manhattan, so Newark is often the quicker trip: 30 to 45 minutes off-peak, against 40 to 60 for JFK.
The Long Island Rail Road leaves Atlantic Terminal for Jamaica and the AirTrain. It works for a light bag and a daytime flight.
Park Slope and Prospect Heights
Brownstone blocks with no driveway, so the chauffeur pulls up at the stoop and handles the bags. JFK runs 45 to 55 minutes off-peak by the Prospect Expressway and the Belt Parkway, and up to 95 at the evening rush.
Carroll Gardens, Cobble Hill and Red Hook
Next to the Brooklyn entrance of the Hugh L. Carey Tunnel, which makes Newark an easy run. We also pick up at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal in Red Hook for the ride to any of the three airports.
Bay Ridge and south Brooklyn
The Belt Parkway starts here, so JFK takes only 30 to 40 minutes off-peak. Newark is quicker still, 25 to 35 minutes over the Verrazzano and the Goethals Bridge. LaGuardia is the long one, up to an hour and 45 minutes at the evening rush, so check which airport your flight uses first.

From JFK, LaGuardia or Newark back to Brooklyn
You book the ride home the same way. We follow the flight, the chauffeur waits for you inside arrivals, and you agreed the price before you left. Airport arrivals include 60 minutes of free wait time, on domestic and international flights alike.
At JFK Terminals 5 and 7, car pickups moved to the Howard Beach AirTrain lot. Your chauffeur still meets you inside arrivals and walks you out to the car.
Chauffeur service in Brooklyn, timed off your flight
Give us the flight number and dispatch works backward from it. If the pickup lands in a rush hour window, we plan with the rush hour column of the table.
That's why two Brooklyn trips can get very different pickup times. A 7am flight from Park Slope may need a car at 4:45. A 7pm flight from the same stoop may need one at 3:30, because of the evening traffic.
Coming home, we watch the landing. If the flight runs late, the pickup moves with it and the car is still there.
A Park Slope pickup before dawn. The car gets there first.
What a car service from Brooklyn to JFK costs
We quote each Brooklyn trip on its own, because the price depends on the pickup, the airport, the hour and the vehicle. An SUV from Bay Ridge at 6pm and a sedan from DUMBO at 5am aren't the same job.
The way the quote works never changes. It's all-inclusive, with tolls and the chauffeur's gratuity already counted. Accept it and it's locked. No surge pricing, no meter and nothing extra at the curb.
Send the pickup address, the airport, and the date and time. You'll get a quote back, usually within the hour. Child seats are free on every Brooklyn booking.
Child seats are free
The seat is in before the car reaches your street.
Tell us each child's age and weight when you book, and we install the right seat before the car reaches you. Prefer your own seat? The chauffeur will put it in. Which seat fits which age is in our guide to airport car service with car seats.
Many Brooklyn families don't own a car, so there's no seat to borrow from the garage, and a yellow cab won't bring one.
Brooklyn car service, Uber Black, a taxi or the train
You have four ways to get from Brooklyn to the airport, and each has a weak spot.
The train is the cheapest. To JFK it's the subway or the Long Island Rail Road to Jamaica or Howard Beach, then the AirTrain. LaGuardia has no train, so the last leg is a bus. Newark means the subway into Manhattan, NJ Transit from Penn Station, then the AirTrain. With bags and a dawn flight, that's a lot of stairs.
Uber Black is fine on an easy day. The weak spot is early morning. The calls we hear follow a pattern: a driver accepts and cancels, the car never shows, or the price changes before you leave. The app also prices by demand, so a Sunday night in August costs more than the Tuesday you checked.
A taxi runs on the meter, so traffic sets the fare and tolls come on top. Finding one on a residential Brooklyn street at 4am is hard.
A booked chauffeur costs more than the train. You get a chauffeur assigned ahead of time, a price fixed when you book, and a dispatcher watching your flight.
| Train | Uber Black | Taxi | Gotham Ride | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Price | Lowest | Changes with demand | Meter plus tolls | Fixed when you book |
| Transfers | One or two | None | None | None |
| 4am pickup | Slow service | Can cancel or not show | Hard to find | Chauffeur assigned ahead |
| Late flight home | Your problem | Ride is gone | Ride is gone | We track it |
| Airport wait | None | Minutes, then fees | Taxi line | 60 minutes free |
| Child seats | Bring your own | Not provided | Not provided | Free, installed |
What you get for the difference
- A chauffeur picked for your trip ahead of time
- One all-inclusive price, agreed before the day
- Flight tracking for the ride home
- 60 minutes of free wait time on airport arrivals
- Free child seats, already in the car
- Someone at dispatch who picks up the phone at 3am
The fleet
Choose the car by the bags, not the number of people. Two travelers with four large suitcases need an SUV. A family of five heading away for two weeks usually fits best in the Escalade or a van. Tell us what you're bringing and we'll match the vehicle.

Brooklyn car service questions
How long does a car service from Brooklyn to JFK take?
Outside rush hour, about 30 to 40 minutes from Bay Ridge, 35 to 50 from Williamsburg, 40 to 60 from Brooklyn Heights and DUMBO, and 45 to 55 from Park Slope. On a weekday evening, plan on 55 minutes to an hour and 45, depending on the neighborhood.
Which airport is closest to Brooklyn?
It depends on the neighborhood. LaGuardia is closest from Williamsburg and Greenpoint, 15 to 25 minutes off-peak. Newark is often quickest from Bay Ridge and Park Slope, and close to JFK's time from Brooklyn Heights and DUMBO. Pick the airport by the flight, then let us time the pickup.
How much is a car service from Brooklyn to JFK?
We quote each trip, because the price depends on the pickup, the hour and the vehicle. Every quote is all-inclusive, with tolls and gratuity in it, and the price is locked once you accept it.
Do you provide child seats?
Yes, at no charge. Give us each child's age and weight when you book and we install the right seat before the car arrives. If you bring your own, the chauffeur will put it in.
Do you drive from Brooklyn to Newark Airport?
Yes, in both directions. Off-peak it takes about 25 to 35 minutes from Bay Ridge and 30 to 45 from Brooklyn Heights and DUMBO. The quote, the free child seats and the 60 minutes of free wait on arrivals work the same as for JFK.
Is this a luxury car service or a limo service?
People in Brooklyn use car service, black car and limo to mean the same booking. We drive sedans, SUVs, an Escalade and vans with professional chauffeurs, not stretch limousines or party buses.
Is Uber Black cheaper from Brooklyn to JFK?
Sometimes, on a quiet day. The app prices by demand, so the fare moves. The bigger risk is early morning: drivers who cancel, don't show, or change the fare. We fix the price when you book and assign the chauffeur ahead of time.
Do you pick up at JFK, LaGuardia and Newark for the ride back to Brooklyn?
Yes. We track the flight, the chauffeur meets you inside arrivals, and airport arrivals include 60 minutes of free wait time.
What time should I leave Brooklyn for an early flight?
Find your neighborhood in the drive time table, use the rush hour column if you leave on a weekday between 7 and 10am or 3 and 7pm, and add the time your airline wants you at the airport. Or send us the flight number and we'll set the pickup.
Do you pick up at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal?
Yes. We pick up at the cruise terminal in Red Hook and drive to JFK, LaGuardia, Newark or anywhere else in the city. Give us the ship and the arrival day when you book.
Can I book a ride for someone else?
Yes. Book for a parent, a client or a guest and the charge comes to you. Companies can set this up on a corporate account.
