Connecticut Car Service to JFK, LaGuardia and Newark
Connecticut Car Service to JFK, LaGuardia and Newark
If you're booking a car service to JFK from CT, or to LaGuardia or Newark, you want two numbers: how long the drive takes and what it costs. Both are on this page, published in full rather than hidden behind a quote form. So is the answer to a question most people skip, which is which airport you should be flying from at all.
Gotham Ride runs Connecticut car service from Fairfield County, the New Haven area and inland Connecticut to JFK, LaGuardia and Newark, and back the other way. Child seats are free and installed before the car reaches you. The price we quote is the price you pay, and it doesn't change if traffic does.

Connecticut to JFK
44 min to 2 hr 3 min · from $256.42
The default for international departures and the longest of the three from most of the state. I-95 south to I-678 and over the Whitestone. We watch arriving flights and hold the car through customs.
Connecticut to LaGuardia
32 min to 1 hr 50 min · from $206.87
The closest and the cheapest from every town we serve. Worth checking your flight exists here before you default to JFK, because from Greenwich it saves twelve minutes and about fifty dollars.
Connecticut to Newark
1 hr 1 min to 2 hr 16 min · from $266.87
The longest drive, crossing the city or skirting it depending on the hour. Leave more room than the map suggests on a weekday evening, and let us set the pickup from your flight.

From the Gold Coast the route follows I-95 south to I-678 and over the Whitestone Bridge. New Canaan is the exception and goes down the Merritt to the Hutchinson River Parkway. Westport to Newark and everything from Hartford also takes the Merritt before picking up I-95.

Pickups from home, office or hotel, and the same in reverse coming back from any of the three airports.
Coming the other way
Landing at JFK, LaGuardia or Newark and heading into Connecticut works the same. We watch the flight, meet you inside the terminal, and the fare was agreed before you took off. We include sixty minutes of wait after an international arrival, which covers immigration and a slow baggage claim without anyone starting a meter.
LaGuardia is the closest New York airport from every town on this list
Read down the table and the pattern holds all the way up the state. From Greenwich, LaGuardia is twelve minutes closer than JFK and half an hour closer than Newark. From Westport it's twelve minutes closer than JFK. Even from Hartford, at the far end of the drive, LaGuardia comes in thirteen minutes ahead.
It costs less too. Greenwich to LaGuardia starts at $206.87, against $256.42 to JFK and $266.87 to Newark. The shortest drive is also the cheapest fare.
On a 7am departure, twelve minutes moves your pickup from 4:45 to 5:00. If the flight you want leaves from both airports, price LaGuardia first.
JFK still wins when the flight is international, when the schedule suits you better, or when you're connecting. Check both before you book.

Starting fares as of September 2026 for a midday weekday booking. We confirm your exact fare when you book. It varies by route, date, time and vehicle. We quote New Haven to LaGuardia or Newark the same way, and the same for pickups in Westport, Darien, New Canaan and inland Connecticut. Every Connecticut car service route includes free child seats.
Child seats are free
Installed and checked before the car leaves for you.
Every Connecticut car service booking includes them. Tell us the children's ages when you book and we install and check the right seats before the car arrives.
Neither a shared shuttle nor a rideshare will do this. It's the one practical reason most Connecticut families booking a 6am flight call a chauffeur service instead of opening an app, and nobody should be wrestling with harness straps in a dark driveway at five in the morning.
If you're traveling with your own car seat, the chauffeur will install it instead.
Uber Black, a shared shuttle, or a private chauffeur
Three ways to reach a New York airport from Connecticut, and they fail in different places.
A shared shuttle is the cheapest and the slowest. It's the budget airport transportation option out of Connecticut: a scheduled van collecting several parties, running on its schedule rather than yours. You ride along for its other stops, and you leave early enough to cover them.
Uber Black puts a professional driver in a black car, and on a calm weekday from Greenwich or Stamford it works. The cars are out there. Whether the one you booked shows up is the question. The calls we get from Connecticut customers follow a few patterns: a driver accepts the job and then cancels, a car that never shows up, or a driver who wants to renegotiate the fare or be paid in cash before he'll move. At 4:30am, with a flight to catch, none of those has a fix.
The price is the other half of it. The app sets the fare the minute you open it, so the number you saw last Tuesday isn't the number you get on a Sunday evening in August.
A scheduled chauffeur costs more than a shuttle and gets booked days ahead rather than minutes. What you get for that is a named driver assigned in advance, a price agreed when you booked, and a dispatcher watching your flight.
| Shared shuttle | Uber Black | Gotham Ride | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price | Lowest | Set when you open the app | Agreed when you book |
| Route | Multiple stops | Direct | Direct |
| Vehicle | Whatever is running | Whatever accepts | The class you chose |
| Driver at 4:30am | Scheduled | Can cancel or no-show | Assigned days ahead |
| Payment | Prepaid | Occasional demands for cash | Settled on the account |
| If your flight is late | You rebook | Ride is gone | We track it and move the pickup |
| Airport wait | Fixed windows | Minutes, then fees | 60 minutes included |
| Child seats | Not provided | Not provided | Free, installed before pickup |
Already there, before you clear the doors.
What you're paying the difference for
- A named chauffeur assigned to your booking days in advance
- A fare agreed up front that doesn't move with demand
- Flight tracking, so a delayed landing moves the pickup instead of losing the car
- Sixty minutes of included wait after an international arrival
- Free child seats, installed before the car leaves for you
- A dispatcher on the phone at 4am rather than an app support form
When to leave for a Connecticut airport trip
The clear-road times above will mislead you. I-95 through lower Fairfield County slows at predictable hours, and so does the approach to the Whitestone Bridge.
Our dispatchers add 30 minutes to the map estimate for weekday morning and evening rush, Friday evenings and Sunday evenings. We time every Connecticut car service pickup off that number, not off the map.
| From | What we allow to JFK at rush hour |
|---|---|
| Greenwich | 1 hr 14 min |
| Stamford | 1 hr 19 min |
| Darien | 1 hr 22 min |
| New Canaan | 1 hr 31 min |
| Westport | 1 hr 33 min |
| New Haven | 2 hr 3 min |
| Hartford | 2 hr 33 min |
Send the flight number and we work backward from it, using the rush hour figure if your trip falls in one of those windows. You don't have to do the math.
For a 7am departure out of JFK from Greenwich on a weekday, that means a pickup closer to 4:15 than the 5:00 the map would suggest. Booking the night before is the difference between a calm morning and a sprint through the terminal.
A 4:40am Fairfield County pickup. The car is early so you don't have to be.
The fleet
| Vehicle | Passengers | Bags |
|---|---|---|
| Business Class sedan | 3 | 2 |
| First Class sedan | 3 | 2 |
| Business SUV | 6 | 5 |
| Cadillac Escalade Premium | 6 | 6 |
| Comfort Van | 6 | 4 |
| Business Sprinter Van | 14 | 15 |
A sedan holds three people, but two people with four large suitcases need the SUV. Tell us the bags when you book and we'll tell you which car fits.
Child seats go in any vehicle on this list and don't change the price.
Sedan, SUV and Sprinter. One of these is the right answer for your luggage.
How to book Connecticut car service
Send the details
Date, pickup address, which airport, the flight number, how many bags, and the children's ages if any are coming along.
Agree the price
You get a quote before you commit to anything. Accept it and that number is locked, no matter what traffic does later.
The car arrives early
Assigned chauffeur, seats already installed, pickup timed off your flight rather than off a map estimate.
We confirm most Connecticut car service bookings within the hour, and the quote you accept is the one you pay. Corporate accounts, standing weekly pickups and multi-car group bookings go through the same dispatch desk.
What our clients say
Connecticut clients book us again for the same two reasons: the quote holds and the car shows up early.

Connecticut car service questions
How long does it take to get from Connecticut to JFK?
On an empty road, about 44 minutes from Greenwich, 49 from Stamford, 52 from Darien, an hour from New Canaan and Westport, an hour and a half from New Haven and two hours from Hartford. Add 30 minutes at weekday rush, Friday evenings and Sunday evenings.
Which New York airport is closest to Connecticut?
LaGuardia, from every town we serve. From Greenwich it's 32 minutes against 44 to JFK and 61 to Newark. Even from Hartford, at the far end of the state, LaGuardia is the shortest of the three.
How much is a car service to JFK from CT?
A Business Class sedan starts at $256.42 from Greenwich, $305.97 from Stamford and $355.52 from New Haven. LaGuardia is cheaper and Newark is $60 more. Larger vehicles are in the fare tables above.
Do you provide child seats?
Yes, and they're free. Tell us the children's ages when you book and we install and check the right seats before the car arrives. Bring your own instead and the chauffeur will install it.
Is Uber Black cheaper?
On a quiet weekday it can be. The app sets its fare the moment you open it, so it moves with demand. The bigger issue our Connecticut customers report is the driver canceling, not showing up, or asking to renegotiate in the driveway. We agree the price when you book and assign the driver days ahead.
What time should I leave for an early flight?
Take the clear-road time for your town, add 30 minutes if you're traveling in a rush hour window, then add the check-in advice from your airline. Or send us the flight number and we'll set the pickup for you.
Is this a limo service?
Limo service and car service mean the same thing to most Connecticut callers. What changes is the vehicle that shows up. We drive Business and First Class sedans, SUVs, Comfort Vans and Sprinter vans with professional chauffeurs, not stretch limousines or party buses. Same fixed price and the same free child seats either way.
Is a shuttle cheaper than a car service from CT?
Yes, and slower. A shared shuttle runs on its own schedule and picks up other passengers on the way. A private car leaves when you need to leave and goes straight there. If the flight is early or the day matters, the difference is worth more than the fare gap.
Do you pick up in Connecticut, or only drop off?
Both. Home, office and hotel pickups anywhere in Fairfield County, the New Haven shoreline and inland Connecticut, and return trips from JFK, LaGuardia and Newark.
Do you track flights?
Yes. We watch the arrival and move the pickup time with it, so a delay doesn't cost you the car or leave you paying to wait.
Can I book for someone else?
Yes. Book for a client, an executive or a family member and the charge still comes to you. Corporate accounts do that.
How far ahead should I book?
A few hours works for a standard trip. Book the night before for an early flight, and a day ahead for a group or a Sprinter.
We drive Greenwich, Stamford, Darien, New Canaan, Westport, New Haven and Hartford to all three New York airports, seven days a week, at whatever hour the flight requires. Planning a trip into the city instead? Our New York car service rates cover Manhattan trips, and travelers just over the state line can use our White Plains car service page. Airport detail lives on the JFK, LaGuardia and Newark pages. Live traffic on the corridor is published by the Connecticut Department of Transportation.

Send the date, the pickup address and the flight number. A fixed quote comes back, usually within the hour, and your chauffeur is assigned days before the car shows up.
Bradley Airport (BDL) and the trip into New York
Bradley International sits in Windsor Locks, 14 miles north of Hartford on I-91. Most travelers from inland Connecticut fly out of Bradley rather than driving down to a New York airport.
Bradley to a Manhattan address is 129 miles, about two hours thirty five with clear roads and closer to three hours through a weekday afternoon. We drive it both ways. A chauffeur meets your flight inside the terminal at Bradley, or picks you up in the city and gets you to the gate early. You agree on the price before you travel and traffic doesn't change it.
Choosing between Bradley and a New York airport is mostly geography. Every Fairfield County town listed above is closer to LaGuardia than to Bradley. Bradley wins from Hartford and from the towns north and east of New Haven.
